SE7EN
SE7EN Essay
SE7EN is a crime, mystery, thriller starring Morgan Freeman and Brad Pit. It‘s directed by David Fincher and written by Andrew Kevin Walker. Organised, seven days till retirement, Detective Lt. William Somerset (Freeman) is befriended by laid back new recruit Detective David Mills (Pit) to investigate series of related murder, based on the seven deadly sins. The sins are Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. All the murders are committed by one ‘God obsessed’ serial killer.
In this essay I’m going to be focusing on the first three minutes of the film. I am going to be looking at the Mise-en-scene which includes the props, the locations, the colour and saturation's used and also the proximity which is where people are placed in the frame. The second thing I’m going to be looking at the different shot types used threw out the three minutes for example a CU (close-up) shot which is used to show the characters emotion. The last thing I’m going to be looking at is the sound use in the sequence and how it makes you feel.

My Media
The Media and are really close, I use every single day. Weather its watching a film in my room of a night or watching Eastenders. my favorite genre of film is action/comedy/drama with a little bit of fantasy (Harry Potter).
There are two people who really inspire me in the media industry (one is know dead) and they Steven Spielberg for his fantastic films (Indiana Jones, Jaws, E.T., Back to the future, etc) and Michael Jackson for his great Music & Videos (Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat it, Bad, Black or White, etc).
As I've said about a billion times, I Love FILM, the way it looks, the way it makes you feel, and what inspiration you get from it. i sometimes come home a start to make my own small film. I get so much out of sitting down every night and watch a good film, I may have seen the film I watch before but i still enjoy watching it. There one thing that I'm really good at and that is i can remember every detail of any film. I can remember Characters names, settings, the plot even phrases.
My dad contributes to my film love as he likes to sit with me most Sunday nights and watch a film. Some of the films he watches with are ones I've never seen or herd of (older films). These are some of the films: Commando
(Arnold Schwarzenegger), Bevely Hills Cop (Eddie Murphy), Total Recall and True Lies (Arnold),F/X
Murder (Bryan Brown),F/X2(Bryan Brown),Americian Werewolf in London (David Naughton).
